How do you support Self-Regulation in your classroom?

🪷Supporting Self-Regulation in the Classroom

Children aren't born knowing how to manage big emotions, they need adults to help them learn.

Educators can support self-regulation by:

  • Naming emotions

  • Modeling calm responses

  • Offering appropriate choices

  • Creating calm spaces

  • Teaching breathing strategies

  • Practicing problem-solving

Regulation is taught through repeated practice, patience, and connection.
